Friends of Glastonbury Abbey

For 2013 the Season Ticket is just one part of the offer from our new Membership scheme, "Friends of Glastonbury Abbey" which is to be launched through a series of special events early in 2013. This new membership scheme has been designed to allow those who have a passion for the Abbey ruins, history, wildlife or whatever else, to get more out of their association with our site and to help secure the Abbey for future generations.

Season tickets will continue largely as they have done before but for those interested in Full membership, benefits, in addition to free entry all year round, will include:

• Two complimentary Family Day passes (worth £18.00 each) so you can introduce those close to you to the Abbey
• Discount for special events across the year
• Hospitality tent for major events
• Exclusive events, talks etc, free to members
• Free Night at the Abbey ticket
• Discounts in the shop and café
• Quarterly newsletter

Your membership also includes a £5.00 donation to maintaining the Abbey estates.

Highlights from membership events planned for 2013 are set to include talks about our exhibitions from artists such as Bronwen Bradshaw, history talks from the likes of Paul Ashdown and a special concert with popular Glastonbury musicians to celebrate St Dunstan's day. They will be free for Full members but season ticket holders will still have the chance to attend different events on a pay as you go basis. Full details to be announce shortly on this website.

There will also be the possibility of taking out a life membership to the Abbey, with all the above benefits each year, for £300, to include free entry to the Abbey for life. This is a special introductory price, set to rise to £500 in 2014.

For those who already have entry rights to the Abbey or who would like to participate in the new scheme without visiting regularly there is Social Membership which will give free entry to membership events all with other benefits. Social Membership costs £25 a year or can be bought on a monthly basis to cover until your current season ticket of entry rights expire.
